Moonset, 2023
Double-channel video performance 2', coloured, with soundMoonset is an inner theater, a dream insected in between life and death. It happens in an enclosed space. Inspired by a traditional Chinese fairy tale, there is a blank body and life on top of a blank scroll. How to shape something with the premise of ego and the existing structure of feeling? Words of the mother language, are written on the body of the blank, replicating ego, desires, and their loss. The light source indicates the energy flow: the creator seems powerful yet bitter, while the creature has stronger emotions and presence.
